The Weather Outside Is..... Well, It's Weather..

The storms were coming and I was not prepared! One minute the sun is blazing and the next minute.... well, you can see. The temperature dropped at least 10 degrees and the winds picked up. I loaded my bathroom with storm supplies just in case of a twister and then went outside and took this photograph. I jokingly said to my neighbour who was also outside that I was taking a before picture... nope... she didn't think that was funny either.. lol. Good news is that I didn't need to worry. The storm was more bark than bite and for that I am very grateful!

These two photos were taken in Gulfport, Mississippi on my way to my Aunt's house. The weather turned pretty nasty. The rains held off until about 5 minutes before I pulled up to her front door.. So I got drenched and caught a cold but I was able to get two good pictures out of it and am happy. I also got over my cold in record time. 4 days! Go me.. lol.

Mississippi Mush..

On a trip back from New Orleans to Mississippi I had the pleasure of driving across this serene view. This is such a wonderful view of the water and grass. You can tell that I was in a moving vehicle by the movement and blur of the bridge in the foreground. I love the way the grass curves and the water meets up with it. The shadowed reflection of grass on water is captured here as well.

Another one of my favorites! This photo reminds me of the curves a snakes body makes as she slithers after a rather large meal. It also has a feeling of laziness and summer that encoumpases the south every year. This photo was taken in Waveland, Mississippi.

Mississippi Trees

Here in south Mississippi we have some pretty wicked looking trees. From all the hurricanes abuse during the years these trees have grown facing away from the beach. Here is a beautiful example of one such tree. This was taken last month in Gulfport, Mississippi. So tall and majestic. It really puts those palm trees in the background to shame if ya ask me!

This was taken in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. The weather was amazing and the sky so blue! It's amazing how these trees keep coming back to life. It just goes to show, if you want to survive bad enough nothing can stand in your way.... even a tree knows that. lol

Passing by this ethereal tree had me floored! I turned my car around and parked. I fell head over heals with the way this photograph turned out. I love the way it makes me feel.. Like the world was an oil painting and I just happened upon it.
